Ask me to describe the practice of two hypothetically “sane” and rational individuals (commonly known as “parents”) blithely submitting to a demand to hand over their child (usually to total strangers) for so-called “public education” and I would have to call it “UN-sanity”. and further baffling matters would be to understand that these parents should be able to identify and thus sympathize with the experience, for they themselves hashed their own way through they very-same system not so long ago.
The premise of the currently emerging resource based economic system is based on the fact that our Earth is abundant with plentiful, renewable energy and thus, resources.
In a “Resource Based Economy”, all products, services and information would be produced and exist free from financial cost and would not require a price to be placed upon them. It essentially would use no money, credit, barter or any other form of debt or servitude, which is exactly what the current monetary / market system is based upon.
This is simply a social commentary video I made and perhaps kind of an unofficial music video for the track, “I’m Afraid of Americans” by David Bowie and Nine Inch Nails.
I’ve always loved this track and of course BOTH artists and with the times being what they are… I thought a “remake” of the video was in order. However, and please note, this commentary should not be seen as something that singles out “americans”, but rather virtually each and every so-called “culture” to one degree or another. ENJOY!
Depending on what sort of worldview one holds, what sort of experiences they have been afforded and what frame of reference and context is taken, the Earth may be either be perceived as “big” or “small” and neither definition would be “right” or “wrong” and any contention over these definitions would be moot and nothing more than an argument over semantics. Because, when we disregard these terms, one thing remains certain… the Earth is in fact finite.
The Earth came into existence one day and one day it will cease to exist — just as everything and everyone does in the universe. And yes, granted, it’s easily argued by many — including myself — that nothing really “ends”. Rather, it simply transforms… but hey, that’s a topic for a whole other discussion isn’t it?
Culture is NOT your friend. It is not a quaint and innocent affair for you or your family. It is for the convenience of a power-elite within society and NOT for the individual. Nor, is it fundamentally beneficial for family and/or community. It is utilized by powerful institutions of control and manipulation and goes against everything related to individuality, personal expression, uniqueness and real freedom.
While clearly, and due to an inability to conduct any Associative Reasoning, discouragingly, the majority of people on this earth can’t make the connection that not one single human being is “hardwired” to conform to any type of traditional practice or thinking.
